The truth is, there is absolutely no off-season in the Mentawai Islands! We are blessed with world-class waves 365 days a year. Whether you are hunting for the barrel of your life or just looking to cruise on fun, rippable walls, every month on the calendar has something incredible to offer.

Our Peak Season runs through April, May - June, and July - August. If you are looking to get the stand-up barrel of your life, this is your prime time! As the biggest swells of the year roll in, you better be ready to push your limits. While these months draw more surfers, there are so many spots working around our camp that you can always find a mellow, empty break around the corner to ride your twinny.

For those seeking a more relaxed vibe, December to February offers small, perfect waves with empty line-ups and beautiful weather—an absolute dream for beginners building confidence and intermediates refining their style. Meanwhile, the remaining months of March, September, October, and November are Mentawai's best-kept secret! During these shoulder months, you'll find everything from solid overhead swells to small, highly enjoyable fun days with very low crowds.
