Your step-by-step guide to reaching Toroi Koat Surf Camp. Follow these simple steps to start your ultimate Mentawai adventure.
Step 1
Flight Guide
Your journey to Toroi Koat Surf Camp begins with a flight to Padang (PDG) via Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free trip, we recommend arriving in Padang at least one day before your scheduled ferry departure to the Mentawai Islands.
Step 2
Stay In Padang
Upon arriving in Padang, you will need to find accommodation near the harbor, where the Mentawai Fast Ferry departs. Staying nearby provides convenient access to the ferry terminal and allows you to start your journey to the Mentawai Islands comfortably the following day.
Step 3
Mentawai Fast Ferry
The next morning, you will board the Mentawai Fast Ferry from Muara Padang to Siberut Island. The ferry operates every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, departing at 7:00 AM (WIB). The journey takes approximately 3.5 to 6 hours, depending on weather conditions and the ferry route.
Please note that surfboards may be subject to additional baggage fees charged by the ferry operator based on their size and weight.
Step 4
Arrival At Siberut
Upon arrival in Siberut (Maileppet Harbor, South Siberut), the Toroi Koat Surf Camp team will be there to welcome you. From the harbor, the journey continues by speedboat to the camp, passing through scenic rivers and along the beautiful, untouched coastline of the Mentawai Islands.
Once you arrive at Toroi Koat Surf Camp, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful tropical atmosphere before beginning your adventure exploring some of the best surf breaks in Mentawai. With easy access to numerous world-class surf spots that remain relatively uncrowded, an authentic and unforgettable surfing experience awaits you.
